So much to do all year around!
January is considered that time of year when everyone is recovering from christmas and afraid to spend any money. For that reason we have put together a list of our favorite activities that won’t cost an absolute fortune to do in the month of January.
Go for a bracing walk
North Wales is known to have some of the most amazing countryside and beaches in the whole of the UK and for that reason we recommend you grab a thick coat, a hat and scarf and get out there into the great outdoors.
Learn something new at the library
The library is usually free – and full of some amazing books for you to go and read! Take the whole family along to the library and grab a book each, read it in the sitting area all together before taking them home to finish. This can be a really nice activity for the family, we recommend Caernarfon Library.
Visit an art gallery
Art galleries are bastions of culture and expression of life, and not only that but they are centres for the most amazing things. Artwork can take you some amazing places – and often inspired by life nearby – especially here in Wales. We recommend going to Galeri Caernarfon, the which is a very short distance from Morfa lodge – if you fancy going a bit further then try Oriel Mostyn and Galeri45.
Go to the cinema
The cinema has and will always be a location for days out with the family – it’s not too dear! Mary Poppins Returns and Transformers Bumblebee are on at the moment at the Galeri Caernarfon, ,which is great fun and suitable for the whole family. Galeri Caernarfon has recently had a fantastic £2million cinema renovation.
Visit the coast
The coast is a beautiful place to escape to – and best of all it’s free (although you may have to pay for parking depending on where you go!). Some of our favorite beaches include Dinas Dinlle, Pontllyfni, Newborough and Ynys Llanddwyn! These are all within close range of our very own Morfa Lodge Holiday Park, if you wanted to camp or stay in a caravan nearby.
Go for a drive
North Wales has some absolutely outstanding roads to cruise upon, with views of mountain passes, seaside and forest routes – it’s a motorist’s playground! The best part of this is you don’t have to go outside in the cold in order to enjoy a day out. Just play some tunes, drive and enjoy the sights – make sure you drive safely and responsibly.
As you can see, the cold winter months are no reason to be shut inside – there is plenty to do in the wide, wild world of North Wales, and so it’s the perfect time to look into Holiday Parks North Wales.
