Works started on embankment for easy access to Foryd Bay Nature Reserve - 25 Jan 2012

The environmental agency have recently started work on the embankment to Embankment work to make easier access to Foryd Bay Nature Reserve and RSBP Morfa Dinlle Reserveopen up the footpath which leads to the  Foryd Bay Nature Reserve and RSBP Morfa Dinlle Reserve for easier access.

Morfa Dinlle is 117 acres of grazed pasture protected by flood defence walls.   The pasture land consists of west pasture with permanent pools and shallow seasonal pools, rushy pasture and some higher ground. It is situated on a low lying peninsula forming part of a system of grazing marsh and sand dunes which extend north towards Anglesey.  The  seaweed side of the Embankment work to make easier access to Foryd Bay Nature Reserve and RSBP Morfa Dinlle Reservepeninsula has a popular beach and picturesque setting with the backdrop of Snowdonia to the east.

The objective of the RSPB is to manage the site and provide ideal habitat for existing nesting lapwings on the site and to increase the breeding numbers to 26 pairs within 10 years.
